The best way to help out is to come along and see us; we're there every day, and everyone is welcome to pick up a shovel and dig in (quite literally!).
Alternatively, while everyone who's working on site is there voluntarily, we always need help with buying tools, building materials, compost, and so forth. At the moment we are also fundraising to fit the gardens with wind turbines, as a clean, reliable and sustainable alternative to petrol generators. To do this we need to raise at least £2000 - this will provide a system that will be able to power everything needed in the day to day running of the gardens, from office equipment to power tools. It will also provide us with the power needed to host events for the community.
For a limited time we have people who will install and build the system as volunteers, but we need to supply the materials. For this reason we need to reach our target as quickly as possible.
To help us reach our target please visit our crowdfunder site. Your pledge will help sustain what has become an invaluable community resource, and help us use a cleaner a more sustainable energy source that is more in keeping with the ethos of the gardens.
